993TT caliper brackets for UFO cars?

Post by gtn116 »

Hey guys, looking for brackets to use the A8 rotor on a UFO-equipped 91 200 20v with the 996 calipers. Who all makes them? Does anyone on here have a file that I could just have someone whip up a bracket on a mill?

These brackets are crazy expensive, but I guess you are paying for bolt patterns..

I didn't even think to check German Ebay! Thanks! Have you used a set of these?

They are not any more expensive than any G60 based porsche caliper adapter brackets on the market.

I have not but I have used the same company for other parts. I'm pretty sure someone on MG bought a set of them.
Any specific reason for wanting porsche calipers vs. converting the UFO housings for HP2's or touareg/cayenne calipers?
Is there something wrong with your UFO's?

I already have the 2Bennett kit, but to avoid the cost of pads and rotors (ends up at like $550 for a brake job!), I can get brackets (just found out that 034 has a bracket kit for $92), rotors for an A8 and pads for $350.

Ok, 034 does not have what I need. The guy who emailed me didn't know what he was talking about. Instead they offered me $150 UrS4 strut housings and $300 brackets! What a deal!
