another S2 conversion

1991 Audi Coupe quattro black on black with 117K miles

Purchased this coupe on January of 2013 from Chris M. in San Francisco, he was the second owner of the car, at one point the car was stolen from him, lightly vandalized (scratched paint, cut-ed leather seats), found than returned. Upon recovery the car was repainted in 2003 to Espresso Mocha Black 033, covered and storaged in a warehouse for 10 years. This is how I got it:



During the last year I was collecting parts, information to be ready when the time will come.
Looks like I will be able to pull the engine out today and in the next few week I will be installing the new one

Nice Chris, looking forward to seeing this car in action, possibly for the next Vegas event. we need more coupes to show up and rep. mine and one other were the only 2 last year. I'm in the midst of my (hopefully) last upgrade/ reengineering run.

Couple questions:

-- Do you have any info or more pics on the paint? I'm trying to find the perfect shade of black for a respray and wonder how that shade looks in daylight, shadow, indoors, etc.

-- We both used identical parts for brakes. Have you installed a brake bias controller? The rears are going to lock up before the front as it sits now.

i dont have other good pictures about the paint. Its an excellent paint, but I never would paint an audi to a mercedes color.
Its very interesting with the rear brake. Friend of mine has a same setup on his 90, he has no problem with it. And I think Peter Antonic had a same setup.

Also installed the vacuum booster, and the new line for the power steering, no more brake bomb

Looks great! Sorry didn't realize I could've answered that question myself, the pictures werent loading and I though the links were bad, turns out it was my computer, now I see the pics with intake.
Where did you get the brake booster? And using the stock CQ rack?
Looks like we are tackling alot of the same things, I deleted the Bomb and the ABS... going the AAN intake route though.

the b4 boosters are WIDER but they also don't stick out into the bay as far either

Its a stock CQ tranny 01A
Spec stage 3 clutch
7A flywheel

Thats the same clutch/flywheel setup I have in my 20vt swap. It is quite grabby and took a little getting used to.

Keep pushing forward on it, seems to be moving along quickly

I was super busy in the last 2.5-3 months but finally now i have a little time.

Installed the power steering lines


and worked on the front a bit

Had a few hours to work on my babe:

Modified the coolant pipe (is a cq pipe with a nipple on it)




I had to modify the 3B 200 vt intake pipe too, since my inter-cooler and pipes from ABY.


Also done a lot of electrical work, getting closer and closer
