Group Buy: Fidanza Lightweight Flywheels

So I am organizing a group buy for no longer offered flywheels from Fidanza. These flywheels include the MC2/3b flywheels, as well as the 7a/AAN flywheels.

In order for me to place the group buy, I need minimum of 8 orders per flywheel style. This means I need 8 orders for the MC2/3b flywheel in order to have a run made, and same for the AAN/7a style. I can not order 4 of each. I must have 8 of one style.

All flywheels come with Fidanza's warranty on manufacturer defects and defections.

Regardless of which style you need, each flywheel will cost $459.99 + shipping from 83854 (Post Falls, Idaho).

Please share this thread with everyone you know to raise awareness that these flywheels are now being offered once again. Due to my recent move and school expenses, I do not have the capital to invest in stocking these meaning I must have a dedicated 8 buyers or more per style of flywheel. Have you checked the spec SA51A alu wheel? Could be a cheaper alt than the fidanza 112151 for 7a's. Not sure if it has the timing pin mind you, but easy to drill/install one if not.

Are the 7A/AAN Fidanza flywheels the same? The OEM flywheels aren't so I'm curious which OEM flywheel the Fidanza matches.

IIRC the 7A flywheel can be used in place of an AAN flywheel when the factory 2.7t manual trans spacer is used. Basically it can be used with the 01A trans or the 01E trans with the spacer. The appropriate clutch must be used for either application. Don't quote me on the spacer thing, but I know for a fact people Use 7A flywheels on AAN's.

And the 20v/3b flywheel is actually MC2/3B. It CANNOT be used in place of an MC1 unless you get the matching clutch/pp to go with it.

The 7A and AAN flywheels are interchangeable on the AAN if you use the correct clutch. Neither needs the spacer for a 6spd 01E in an UrS. That's all been done a ton of times.

What I was curious about is whether the group buy Fidanza flywheels are 7A dimensions or AAN dimensions as they're different in OEM form. So if you say want to put one in your UrS and they're 7A dimensions you'd have to buy a new clutch (unless you're already running a 7A flywheel) as the AAN clutch won't work with the 7A flywheel.

Interesting, that I did not know. What is the main difference between the 7a/AAN?

Stock AAN flywheel is dual mass, 7A isn't and has a bigger pressure plate to make up the difference in size.

When i looked into these some time ago, the 7A/AAN matched the 7A dimensions, and was mainly marketed as the 7A LWFW. It should have the timing pin as well.

I have an older Fidanza 7A LWFW and it has the pin. Kept it when I sold the 90Q, so it will go into the UrS at some point in the future.
