Lol yeah I just ordered some collars. I thought it was weird to have them rest on each other but didn't know any better. Thanks for looking out Tim.

Got the fuel feed mounted without hitting the throttle linkage. Had to get clever and run it under the intake manifold with some fittings I ordered. Works great and I like it a lot better.

Just got the fuel sorted out sans mounting the FPR.

Not too much left hook up a couple coolant hoses, figure out the vacuum hose situation, mount my coils and then run my VEMS. Pretty excited :).

Oh and I had to go back and re-bolt my valve cover I forgot to install my spark plug grommets lol :frustrated:

More work.

034motorsport drop in Bosch 044 fuel pump with a C4 S4 fuel pump relay wiring.

Coils mounted and wires ran. Played with the bracket on the firewall with the engine sensors to fit the coils.
Image

Need to play with some vacuum and some minor things then it's onto the VEMS.

Looks great so far and is a great reminder to get my project going again.

Quick question on your intake; where'd you source the blue silicone coupler connecting the intake tube to throttle body/intake manifold?

Does it have an ISV port like the stock part or did you integrate that elsewhere?

It's just a 3 inch to 3 inch coupler. If you like just to the left there's hose barb. I will be connecting the stock isv in at that point. It's about 3,inches away

Badass! You're making quick progress. I'm a little sad to see the other Lago get crushed though, so many parts I could have used :(

Need help. I'm going to check out my Bentleys and check everything but I think I have a ground issue.

Brand new battery go to start the car and it cranks like its a dead battery. Barely at all and stop after 2 cranks.

Charge up new battery. Same results and I try it two more times. Smoke billows up from the driver front of the car. Reach into the backseat disconnect the battery, grab the fire extinguisher and spray the front. Once its out, I go to check the car out. The front left brake line melted, that's it. Hmmmm. Weird. Sooo basically I'm stumped at this point and def. will be checking into this ASAP (this happened 10 minutes ago). The wheel well side the brake line was hot when it goes in the engine bay by the ABS module it and everything around it was cold.

By any chance has anyone have this happen in their 200 before?

sounds like you have some dirty electrical grounds, well and they always get shitty on a t44, also id remake the (+) part of the main battery/starter harness for piece of mind

Yeah I just did a quick search and found this. Small chassis but identical. AAaaaand makes sense since I sandblasted/painted my mounts and everything.

Can't help with the brakes. Which intercooler you running? Have you paid attention to your IAT at all? I have a same-side CXracing and I'm starting to think it's garbage....

Pretty sure I'm fucked. PLLLLEASSEEE tell me I'm not. I got the car running. On the first attempt in that matter of a second fired up. I was soooo excited. Turned it on again and she ran for a few seconds, awesome. Made a video myself the second time (first 12 second of the video). Ran in got my girlfriend to video it. The second video I DID NOT CRANK IT it just made that funny noise and I said "what the fuck was that?". Looked and didn't see anything, went to start it again and nothing. My initial thought was that it's fucked and that sound was bending of valves since I cannot see the gear move.

But re-thinking it I didn't start it and you can even hear me not start it. I just key on and it makes that noise (fan maybe? please). I walked away from it because I immediately got pissed off. I will check timing later tomorrow or something. I just had so much happiness taken away in a matter of seconds :x

Well... From the video, you can see the cam gear not move. This could be good or bad. It could mean that the crank turned but the cam didn't (aaaaand you're fucked). OR it could mean the starter was perhaps not fully engaged or disengaged and the sound you heard was starter gear on flywheel teeth party. Try cranking the engine over by hand (take plugs out). If you can do a full revolution or two you're okay, but I'd then take the starter out and look there.

Phew! Pulled a rag from out of the fan, got some gas and realized the 870cc injectors are just pouring fuel into the cylinders so it'll die out. Such a relief!

I knew I didn't check timing literally 5 times for nothing lol.

Done. Pretty shitty about it as it just happened. But yes she will be parted out. Fuel leaked out of the rail while it was running and it went up in a couple of seconds. Pushed her out with my roomate to save the garage, got my extinguisher on it, and hosed it down while my roommates girlfriend called it in. I will be parting everything out ASAP. No time to repair her and fix it as I am moving to pearl harbor hawaii in a few months. Mainly just wiring damage but it's enough for me not to deal with it. Ugh. Beyond pissed/sad.
