Eh, I didn't like the color much anyway. It definitely was probably the best complete package anyone could ask for though. I did notice the paint was pretty good but not perfect by any means.

Austin, I saw the before pictures too and they were ok, but everything was fixed very well on the car. It was worth the price becuase it's turn key ready for driving pleasure until the next timing belt interval.

I need something that can be dead nuts reliable. That's why I was after the silver one. I need something close to perfect mechanically with some proof to that end.

By the way, I have come to the conclusion that a CQ would work too... Plenty of cargo space!

Yeah, the other buyer had cash in hand, I had a deposit in hand and cash ready to go in a few days. He didn't want to risk losing the sale which I can understand, but you wouldn't find me doing that.

In the end, it's probably for the better. Maybe I'll be able to find a black one (I think these look best in dark colors or pearl). Or maybe I'll get into a CQ and enjoy it even more.

I just added you on FB. I'm not sure why I'm considering it, but mine could *possibly* be made available for sale. I'd drive it coast to coast at this point, things that still need attention are suspension and interior. It was a MN car though, and has some bits of rust

Why a CQ? It has less luggage space than you think.
A B4 sedan has more space and you can fold down the rear seat back. But so can a CQ, I think.

Is an Urs6A back on the table? They do seem to come up from time to time on the FB 20vt group.
Last one I saw was red, though :shame:

I'm just very partial to the B4 and C4 bodies :D

The only thing an urS has more of over a t44 is looks, and that's subjective. Oh and price and weight :) I'm not ruling them out though. If the right one came along, I'd consider it.

Chris, I think a CQ would have more space than a b4 sedan but I could be wrong. That b3 I had for a few months had laughable storage space. Whatever I old fitted the back seats and then that "second glove box" aka the smallest trunk in a sedan ever.

The B4 is pretty spacious and has a more symmetrical footprint than the CQ.

Not having the tank in the trunk, and being able to out the back seat down really helps the amount if cargo room between the B3 and B4.

I know there is no separating you two t44 butt-buddies, but t44 wagons are UGLY. Sorrynotsorry :idunno: . It is honestly one of the very few Audi-branded cars that I strongly dislike. And I like t44 sedans a lot. It is just absolutely brutal in wagon form.

So, UrS6 avant gets +1billion points in the "looks" category - and that is NOT subjective :) There are a lot of other pluses in the UrS6 column. Interior, 01E, coil-on-plug, etc.

I love you guys, and you both have great taste in cars...but you need your brains checked if you think t44 avants are good looking. They are so bad, in fact, that someone keyed "FAG" into the side of Nick's because they were so repulsed

I am with you Ed. I LOVE the urs6 avants when lowered on some nice wheels. So much better looking than the t44.

The t44s are pretty uggo. However, I've loved me plenty of uggo cars, so I can see the appeal.

LOL

But all buttfoolery aside, a B3 is NOT the same in the ass dept. as a B4. I have slept flat in the back of a B4, with the seats folded down. I'm 6ft.

Another thing for T44 vs C4: T44 might aswell be made of cardboard, that chassis is so damn flexxy! C4's are fairly stiff in comparison.
