I am super happy with the 380lb, still soft enough to handle bumps and expansion joints nicely but firm enough that I'm not afraid to throw it around in the corners. Keep in mind I have 5k front strut housings, Koni Adjustables and a 4kq front sway bar in the back, and a 4k (FWD) bar in the front.

Oh ya, I forgot to post this up here. I picked her up the other day. :) It already has 2b Coilovers, Stebro exhaust, Blau 272 cam, new head and the BilzCat shifter setup. It just need a little bit of love to become a solid daily.

Sweet! It looks nice. Why come it looks shiny in one picture and not in the other?

Time for another project thread.

The 2nd one is how I found it. The first one is after a SUPER quick rinse off. Its not ready to become project status yet. For now I will daily it and just leave it as is, maybe way down the road it will become a real project. Who knows? Maybe famous last words?

On another note, not much progress has been happening with the car. I've just been super busy with training at work and other side jobs. HOPEFULLY in the near future there will be time to knock out a few things I've been needing to get done to it for some time. In the mean time, I've been giving co-workers joy rides in it from time to time and surprisingly the car never ceases to impress 8-) . Beyond that, I have established a long term goal with the car in terms of body work, I think you guys will like it and I personally and super jazzed about getting started on it here in the next year or so. :D

Update time! Summer has been crazy busy, lots has been happening with life and the car. First off, I've been promoted to the Lamborghini Service Advisor/Manager position after being the lead Lamborghini tech these past 7 months. So, that's pretty exciting! This Aventador SV was my last major project before starting the new position....

Image

I've made some pretty serious progress on Oceanic these past few months as well, starting with a complete overhaul of my AWIC setup. For the heat exchanger Colin and I modified a dual pass Aventador radiator, of which was a total score because there was a campaign out for a defective dual pass separator in the end tank. So we fixed that up with a proper end-tank with fittings. In order to fit it, I cut out the core support and welded in a cross bar for mounting.

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

So, after that was completed we started on the new AWIC I/C portion. Colin and I modified this one with a BOV mount and re-routed the outlet side...

Image

Image

Next I started in on the Ice box portion. For packaging purposes I decided to mount it in the left rear of the trunk. I used a cover plate (which the pump mounts underneath) and the reservoir mounts on top off. Utilizing these neat little rivets I was able to come up with a nice mounting solution...

Image

Image

Image

While I was at it I tossed in a battery box.

After the battery box I took to updating my fuel system with a Bosch 044/040 fuel setup.

Image

After I hammered that out the real fun began! This weekend with the help of Hank and Josh Oceanic received a massive boost in firepower in the form of a Xona Rotor 7164! Bye bye Precision ... hello Xona!

SO, that's the latest with the car. I'll be hitting the dyno sometime next week and we'll see what we can squeeze out of this beast. :D

Oh ya, amongst all this work I did find some time to update the shifter set up with the old Bilzcat shifter design with a BFI heavyweight shifter.

Thanks guys! Ya, I've had like ZERO spare time to update the board or anything else for that matter so when I can I just shoot a little teaser picture for IG. If all goes according to plan, next month the car will be headed to Salt Lake to be painted for BBQ. I ran into some issues on the dyno this last Saturday, one being signal noise at high RPM knocking out my COM to the laptop for tuning. I played with some grounds, consolidated the communication ground with E18 Pin 17 and moved my primary coil ground to the back of the head. I just wrapped up some street test runs and found that the COM is now staying connected so that's a win. Beyond that I have a fuel weep that keeps rearing it's ugly head at my fuel manifold in the back of the car that I need to address and I'm going to re-zero my cam timing to account for belt stretch (I believe my cam timing is a tad off causing some laaaaggginess). Beyond that, I need to throw some new plugs in and I'll be ready to revisit the dyno.

Good news it the new AWIC system seems to be a smashing success. On my 490 tune with the old set up MAT would reach 90c pretty quickly with an ambient of 100 (F) but with the new set up the MAT never reached over 52c with an ambient of 100 (F). So, the plan is later this week I'll run out to Iroz for another attempt at the dyno. Hoping all goes well! :D

So, I have yet to have a successful dyno run. The car has been producing some serious signal noise lately which consequently keeps knocking out my COM with the laptop. I have relegated to the fact that I'm going to have to just replace the engine harness with one from Mr. Swanson. Before that happens though, the car is getting painted. In fact, right now it's off for paint, so once it returns I will be taking care of the harness issues. I cannot wait to post up some progress shots of the new coat! I've also decided on a new set of wheels which I think will suit the car very nicely. :D Now the real trick is if the car will be BBQ ready. Lets hope so.

What plugs are you running? Resistored? When I ran plugs with no resistor in my 4k it would kill the ecu at 7k. I'd have to start it again while rolling
