York to Carlisle caravan 2015

Post by Sparkyjack »

So far we have interest from DE90q, RS4Tech, me (Sparkyjack) possible interest from Loxrider (do you have the car yet?)

The next question is where to meet.
If we met at Dave's we might get him in trouble if we open the hood on a car on the apartment parking lot.
George (I don't think we ever met) you just moved right? Are your neighbors used to lots of old Audi's hanging around? We could help break them if you want.
Does York Motors sell Audi? We could meet there, molest cars in the show room, scare off potential customers and then leave.

Just a few random thoughts.

Not sure where York is, but I may still be in. Parts finally arrived at apikol last night. Car should be ready to get the vin verified today. Then registration hopefully Monday after overnighting the paperwork. Then overnight the plate back and it's be ready for the journey lol

I guess York is on the way. If I will be able to meet you or not depends on how the logistics of getting the Avant here work out and what time you guys will be heading out.

Chris,
i'm guessing you be coming up I-83 off the Baltimore Beltway, I could meet you in Hunt Valley, then meet Dave and George in York.

Yeah, if things work out timing-wise I'd love to do that. What time were you thinking of being in York?

Waiting on Dave and George's input on timing.

So your car is in Denver, it needs parts installed, VIN check., registered in Md then tansported to Baltimore so you can drive it to Carlisle.
Wow.
I just need to drain/flush the coolant one more time, change the oil and install the lower engine cover.

It's even worse than that. It is in Denver, needs work finished up, VIN checked, registered in FLORIDA, then plates overnighted to CO, then transported (driven by Drew C.) to Baltimore so I can drive to Carlisle LOL

Wow...that's a full agenda if I ever heard one...I think York Vw would be a good place to meet up and it would save Dave from getting in trouble. My house has plenty of parking and my neighbors have grown accustomed to the Audi's around, but it is really out if the way for a Carlisle caravan. Not sure on time yet but I'm hoping around lunchtime or early afternoon to be headed over to the fairgrounds.

There is always the large parking lot next to my apartment. It is right off 83, so no need to find your way to York VW, then back to 83. I have had a couple small meets there, as I dont need any trouble with the apartment complex. They normally dont mind, as long as I'm not under the car! Either way, the time will be the deciding factor. I guess it all depends on if we are going to try to deliver the 20v to Randy friday morn, or if we are just putsing around.

No way Randy's car will be done by Friday, so that's not a factor

OK, I didn't figure as much, but wasn't sure about your aspirations of getting it done.

That will pretty much free up the whole day for me. I took off work Thursday, and Friday night, so no need to worry about the driving zombie again. Let me know what you guys are thinking time wise, and I'll be there!

Sheets on South Queen St, near Tyler Run Rd at 1:00 sounds good to me.

That would be the one! One thing to remember is you need to turn onto Tyler Run to get to the sheetz.
