Wtb working ac compressor to fit 91 200
Wtb working ac compressor to fit 91 200
As per title, I'm looking for a known working ac compressor for my 200.
I've asked a couple of times before on MG, and I've had offers but the condition is often unknown.
I'd like to find a working one removed by the seller for whatever reason and they want to sell it.
Cheers

Bump
Anyone? I don't seem to be having much luck. I bought one on eBay this week but the seller had to refund me because they found it was damaged before they even shipped it out. :(

Can I ask why you don't just upgrade to a R134a compatible compressor? You would also need a retrofit Oring kit, the cost probably wouldn't exceed finding a original compressor. Not to mention r12 is no longer available. Just a thought.

Thanks for advice Jared, I'm an Audi and an AC novice so didn't realize there was an upgrade kit.
Do you happen to have a link to the r134 compressor you mention?
Cheers

Here is the O ring kit I used.

Here is one of many compressors that will work. Four seasons also makes a O.E style.

If you want to retain the R-12 setup, go to an AG shop and sweet talk them.
Tractors still use r-12 and arent required by law to convert, although the tech does needs to be state certified to be able to use it
This is what I plan to do when I get the 20vt back in the car with an urQ AC compressor setup

Thanks for the links Jared.
If I search that Denso part number, I can find such variation in price, Amazon as little as $130 and eBay as high as $300-400!
I wonder if some aren't compatible with R134a?
Also did you get a parts list with the O ring kit and where each O ring is located in the system?
I'm hoping it doesn't arrive without some instructions.
Thanks
Chris

The guys above posted some good info as well. I was running R12 for over a year, I had to break some lines loose when repairing a few things and decided to make the switch to R134A. I used a Four Seasons compressor that Napa had at the time. It was around 250.
The O ring kit is somewhat of a R12 to R134A universal O ring kit, but it had everything I needed. Comes with R134A adaptors and schrader valves. EVERY O ring will need to be replaced. Ill work on finding a diagram.
