et30 is 5mm out poke. My measurements say that rim will be pretty much flush. I would get et35, but et30 is the biggest offset blank they have in that style.

Can it be confirmed that the 215 on the red car never rubbed? my car is similar lowness.

It seems like i might want to go with 205 45 to start with. This dude had 205 45 on 16x8 with et20, cannot confirm if it rubbed or not, but it must have been very close.

I will confirm that that the tires never rubbed on Georges B3. I actually am running his old tires, as they were just sitting collecting dust. One thing is that both the ABT wheels and my competition wheels are both 7.5" wheels. They did rub on mine however, but I believe that was due to the struts being blown. After installing the bilsteins in the rear, no more rub.

i think i will have to start with a 205/45 and run them. Much cheaper tires too. I do not love the stretch, but hopefully its not too major.

I hope not too. The 215/45 is almost perfectly vertical on the 7.5" wheels.

this is another shot of those 205 45 stretched on a 16x8. Not too bad, i wouldnt want more than that though. Again, this dude has 10mm more poke than I will have.

That shouldn't be too bad at all! I look forward to seeing how it turns out for you.

Oh, and yes, 205/45's are much cheaper and easier to find than the 215/45's. That's one reason I stole them from george. :D

well, the wheel question is answered for now. Just paid for the 1552 formula TR wheels in 16x8, et30.

I am basically depending on my measuring being right, because these were custom drilled! I hope they look as good on the car as my imagination tell me.

Now to figure out tires, I think it will be 205/45-16 to insure no rubbing, then step up later if I think there is more room.

I would do a fatter tire on there. I went for the 205/45/16s and I wish I would have ponied up and got something wider.

what is your wheel offset suspension and fender setup?

also, my car will likely be 150whp and 200 something torque? A bit less than your car

yeah but even a 225 will look semi meaty on a 16 which is awesome! I'll check the specs, but they sit pretty far in the fenders. Fronts are B4s and rears are just stock b3.

my issue is that my wheels will it just about flush with fenders on the outside, which looks great, but the B3 has horrid flares. So I may need a 205 to be able to tuck the tire in when the suspension compresses.

amazing! what wheel offset? must have been something more than et30? Your fronts were b4 fenders correct?

I dont need anything like 235's on this car, its really just going to be a daily driver. No aspirations of competition of any sort.

They are et38 with spacers to clear the rear tie rod. This was on the current 9.5" wheels it was hella flush:) it actually still rubbed at times. You should be able to get a 225 in there

I ordered tires, chickened out and went with 205/45's I am running out of time to be ready to head to Carlisle, and don't want to mess with rubbing and fitment issues. I am confident they will fit, and maybe I'll be able to step it up to something wider at a later date.

I think 205's will be alright since its just my daily car, I have 205's on my mk4 and i rail it pretty hard, and they hold alright.

Damn b3 and its lack of flares.

My new housing came in today. Need to sell the 911 and buy a TIG this week and I'll be in good shape. Get your ass in gear, I don't want to have to lug you around all weekend ;)

17's do look ok in my opinion on the 90s, just need it lowered to get rid of fender gap... These are Ford svt rally wheels, 4x108 et49 with 15mm spacers

those look alright. I've already paid for rims to be drilled and tires are here, so my decision is made.

I like 17's on a coupe, but they are too big on a sedan for my liking. Plus I live on some of the shittiest roads ever, so I cant really be doing a 40 series sidewall. I've messed up wheels running 14's around here, so I am already pushing it with a low car and 16's. Really i should be lifting my car and running rally wheels and tires.
