I hadn't gotten a chance to read through this because of the daunting amount of updates and limited time to look at them, but now that I have, this thing is freaking sick!! Keep up the awesome work man! I wish I had half the fab skills you do.

Zerb wrote:how much do those flares stick out? the ones im using are universal ebay fiberglass ones, $180 shipped. 3" height on em.

its kind of hard to say based on how you mount them. they naturally sit (height vs width) rather flat and wide, but the bottom of the flare extensions can be brought towards each other to "shorten" the wheel well and they will sit significantly farther outboard. but id say they are good for about 2.5"F, 3.0"Rear

thanks, but the good stuff is yet to come, august will be the month of control arms and subframes and geometry :) of the correct variety

themagellan wrote:Wow, blown away by the fab. Do you own a shop? Amazing stuff.

thanks, and nope, no shop. I do some work for a few forum members now and then, but mostly just working on the beast

AND now I need to go back out to the garage for a long weekend of rear firewall, fuel cell mounting, h20/meth pump and res(making and mounting), some p/s pump/res work, a lot of undercar running of fuel, p/s, watermeth, diff and trans coolers and pumps blah blah and more

real update after this weekend

All the gaps will be covered with tape or fire caulk. I used aluminum tape to get through rally idaho but cleaned it off to use fire caulk. (Thanks for the motivation)
