Looking for efr7163 owners with an iroz header

Post by 4wheelsoffury »

What have you guys done for your internal wastegate canister bracket?

After clocking the turbo, it doesn't line up correctly and it seems that the only route is to go custom bracket.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have no experience with this particular setup, but I had to make an offset bracket for my holset turbo. I just used flat plate alumimum, I think 3/8" thick. Here is what I did for an idea.

This is how it started.

Did you have to bend the rod from the actuator? I don't think it would be too bad to just cut a piece of aluminum but it would also have to be bent maybe 45 degrees or find a secure way to bend my rod .

Yes, I did bend the rod, it was completely straight from the factory. It works perfectly the way it is now. Also, I had enough adjustment on the rod that I could afford to have the actuator spaced another 3/8" away from the actual gate.

I'll keep that in mind. Measure twice, bend once. Lol
