Apogee Dynamics - New Website / Business

Post by loxxrider »

Hello project-padders. I've started a small business, Apogee Dynamics, LLC, to help create a more secure and organized way to create and offer products for you and other enthusiasts.

Right now, there isn't too much going on, but that will change soon enough. I have some products in development which you can see on the website such as my strut mounts and EGT amplifier/displays, as well as products you can buy such as Fuel Injector Development injectors. If you want to order some, please do take a look at the website! I offer project pad users deals on the injectors year round (between 13-15% off typically).

Let me know what you think!

http://www.ApogeeDynamics.com

P.S. - For project pad specials on injectors, type in a coupon code at checkout. The code will always be "TheProjectPadXXXX" Where the X's represent the injector size you want. For example, if you wanted to buy the 750s, you would use the code "TheProjectPad750" or for 1200s you would use "TheProjectPad1200"

Shit. So my plan to buy all the Dramarider domains I could think of has backfired... :hide:

Website looks great! Really looking forward to the EGT amps/displays, already sent my order to declare intent... invoice #1 by the looks of it :D

Haha yeah no dramaridder racing unfortunately. I was wondering why that domain was taken already! ;)

It's really hard to find domains that are available honestly, especially more general names that don't stick you into a certain industry, or anything that even sounds like it might be tech related.

You are definitely order number one! Thanks for that. It's nice to be able to gauge real interest and is also motivating if I know people are waiting for one.

Are you interested in the full 5 channel setup?

Wait... you mean to say they make engines that aren't 5-cylinder? :wtf:

(Yes please, 5 cyl, RGB red, black case.)

Haha thanks guys.

RGB red? So full color (RGB) or red? The RGB is nice because it will let you match the stock color exactly as opposed to red which will just be "close enough."

Whoops, RGB for sure. Want to make sure I can match it perfectly as my gauges evolve. Nice catch.

Good deal. I see it now in the invoice actually. Thanks again. Got an instructional session coming this weekend for the circuit board design, so hopefully we get something rolling ASAP.

I was going to ask a few times and have forgotten... but now that you have a thread for your website, seems like a good spot to make requests.

Any chance you can do electrical plugs with your 3d printer? Stuff like the plastic part of the MFTS? I have two that work, but are in terrible shape.

I don't think the wall thickness is enough on that MFTS plug to make it viable for 3D printing, at least with this kind of machine. It could work depending on the size of the connector though. I didn't realize that they are serviceable. The plastic part is easily removable? If I had some more pictures of it it would be helpful. I'm going to say it is most likely not feasible though.

The plastic part of the plug on the harness. They get brittle and break upon removal for those of us in the frozen northern hinterlands. So far I've broken 2/3 on removal; they just get fatigued over time (and a lot of heat cycles lol).

I figured they would be too complex/small for proper manufacturing, but had to ask once Javad emailed back and said I'd have to take a number and wait as there was a lot more response about them than he'd expected.

Is because your said "the plastic part of the mfts." Anyway, the plug part could be a lot easier. I'd have to have a good look at one.

Oddball part request:

Cup holders. I know the c4 ones fit in the b3/b4, how about the t44? Could be worthwhile?

That is genius. Yes. I shall do it. Just don't let me forget! It will have to wait until I get my avant back to take measurements and test in, or at least until I can run to the farm and grab the printer. I haven't taken it to work with me since the avant broke because of all the chaos surrounding that situation.

But really, I think that's a fantastic idea. I'll name it after you when I put it on the product page if you want lol

They go in that area below the arm rest. Not sure how to describe it, but it's a rectangular area which you can slide two inserts into for cup holders. You could provably just use velcro to stick them in there.

Couple different styles, I think both can work. I do know that the C4 holders are direct swap to the B3, that's what I'm rolling with right now. They use velcro from factory.
