i didnt read it that way, lol.....but if that was how its meant then the answer to that would be..... go big or dont go at all.

ive got those at work, i just didnt think that the cable would be strong enough to push that arm on the locker out, it would certainly disengage it im sure...but idk if itd be up to the task of pushing it out.

i dont wanna drive mine down cause my 01A is very short. 70mph is like 4k.
no good. i need a longer 5th gear, or just a 6th, but i cant afford an 01E, too much $$$. i was thinkin about a V6 01A, hoping maybe the final drive is taller or just 5th is longer. i know the B5 A4's are better for highway cruisin, but i hear that they are weaker trannys. i would love to trailer it down, in like a nice 02-03 dodge cummins or somthin. but alas, i have no truck.

so i just mite light up I-95 south all the way there......!!!

Maybe it'd work OK if you rigged it to pull (and then lock) the lever in the locked position.... pull to engage, push to disengage :?

if that cable can lock out, it'll work perfectly. pull to engage with lockout. with a small spring on the return to help it, no problemo....

i was going to look into booties once i get it rigged up, either that or build some sort of shield like the stock vac canister has.

firgelliauto has the rubber boots for the S-12? series, they are a BIOTCH to put on, but do work quite well. They are I think IP64 or 65 as it is, but the boots are nice once in place to make them very moister and gook resistant.

well...i got my actuator in the mail today, wired it up at work, and did some test fitting. it MAY work, im not sure if i want to figure it all out, lol....but if its doesnt, ill just end up going the heavy duty push/pull cable route, we'll see. this little thing sure looks cool though.

im pretty sure its got enough force to do the job, but we'll see. if i wasnt busy cussing and throwing things across the garage while trying to take my rear hubs apart to replace the wheel bearings/ball joints/tie rods....id be working on that little actuator idea. :bullshits:

Something I just thought about, what is the IP rating of the actuator? Really, it needs to be at least IP54. Ideally, you'd have an IP65 or higher (max is IP68).

to be honest, i just saw the thing, ordered it, hooked it up, and am going to see if itll work out for me. i havent the sligtest clue as to what you're asking( im not being rude, im just being totally honest)
