48" wide. it wouldnt do the entire hood. there is a seam right where the grill starts sorta under the headlights, and there are two little triangle sections up near the windshield on either side. everything else is good. you'll need about 30 yards to be honest, i used 38 yards but i messed up a few times and had to redo some stuff. what color did you go with?

I went with matte black aswell. Figured might as well do something interesting since the paint is shot anyway. lol. Looks like you beat me to it. haha. Looks good tho, i'm excited to do it. Any tips?

Hmm, this might be a good way to revitalize old black plastic bumpers...

Any of you fellers want to sell me like a 12"x48" scrap to test it out? :)

Do not do it over shot paint. That's a bad idea, lol. The surface has to be smooth and very very clean. Start from the middle out when laying the vinyl. And for the doors do the top to the bottom. Squeegee slowly to avoid bubbles. Bubbles, if you squeegee too fast, turn into creases. And creases. Aren't fixable unless you peel the vinyl up.

The paint is smooth just a tad faded. How did you do the roof and pillars? multiple pieces or the vinyl was wide enough to cover it aside from those few triangles you said?

I spoke to a few guys that have done it and watched a bunch of youtube videos, and im usually pretty patient with stuff like this so im confident. lol

We did the roof in one piece up to the channel on top. Then the a and c pillars along with above the windows in another long piece. Then seamed it in the channel on the roof.

You know i've never REALLY considered wrapping, but this may have changed my mind to at least weigh the option.

Total cost for you to wrap you 90 ended up for the 38 yards?

If I were to do it again I THINK I could get away with doing it with 30 yards.

The people I've spoken to that do this stuff professionally say you need on average about 25 yards give or take a few, depending on how much you screw up and how big the car is. I should be good with the 50 yards I got. lol

3G makes good stuff too. I just wasn't paying for it. The price I got on a 50 yard roll was around a grand. And for that price I coulda just had the car actually sprayed.

fuel system is in the car for final. just gotta finish the line that runs up to the fuel rail, and the filter setup. i may also put a filter between the low pressure high volume pump and the fuel cell as well. took some pics of the hose i use and the machine i use to make it. cut it to length, put it in the machine and hold the toggle switch til it crimps. done.

well, as i wait for my custom cometic head gasket i have been re-doing alot of things that i didnt really like after staring at them for a while. first off, the intake manifold. i rushed it first time around, and after looking at it alot, i hated it. so, here's the almost done pics of the second attempt.

welded the runners to a baseplate, then they were smoothed out with a dynabrade. then had some 4 inch elbows chopped in half lengthwise, butted them together and got the other half of the manifold done. shortened the runners about 2 inches as well, something that i wanted to do the first time around and HAD to do in order for this thing to fit in the car this time around.

manifold pretty much complete. i think it came out amazing. my friend took the time when he welded the pieces all together to polish the inside of the weld so everything in the manifold is nice and smooth. same with the outside on the top, it almost looks like its completely one piece.

it isnt a copy situation. it is a "learn from others research/trials" situation.

the rabbit made >550 whp with a 70mm, BTW.

Calico coated +.001 rod bearings
Cat hydraulic cams. 3652 intake custom ground exhaust
AEG cast crank
ARP main studs
ARP head bolts
AEB head (stock port)
Integrated Engineering manual tensioner roller
16v style manual timing belt tensioner
Gates Blue timing belt
Custom Cometic 84mm bore .051 headgasket
Other random little odd things....onto the pics

tack welded oil pump gear bolt

tack welded crank trigger bolts

Custom Pinned Crank Timing Gear

Cometic 84mm headgasket

ARP SS exhaust manifold studs

Pretty much buttoned up, missing the manual tensioner and timing belt. oh, and the oil pan.

hopefully will get that finished this weekend, and may have a motor in my car this coming week. have to finish making a few things hopefully first while the motor sits, downpipe and ic piping. then once it goes in i can bolt everything together, finish some wiring, and hope for the best.
