so i got 1000cc EV14 injectors for X-mas which i installed in my car and now will not start. i did the math for req fuel in the base setup and from what i was told by someone directly at VEMS is that if you input the proper value there the ECU should compensate for the rest and just run. well i guess that was far from right. i put a holset HX35 on as well and the car fired right up and idled on the old RS2 injectors so i shut it down and swapped injectors and now no run. any of you guys have any input on what i need to do to get it running again?
Here's a link to the injectors i got http://www.fuelinjectordevelopment.com/1000.html. these are supposedly the best of the best so once again why am i having problems with this stuff again?

Re: upgrading injectors and VEMS
It should start even if it's pig rich. Can you swap the old rs2 injectors back in just to check?

Re: upgrading injectors and VEMS
If you didn't set it up properly before with req fuel, just scaling req fuel now won't work.
In other words, if you just had anything in req fuel before and changed the cells in the ve table to whatever they needed to be to get the mixture right, then you can't just scale with req fuel now.
You seem to be implying that it's somehow the injectors fault by saying they are supposedly the best and why are you having problems now. Why do you always try to blame something other than yourself for your problems?
Finally, even if you were able to scale req fuel becuase you set it up properly before, it'd start up, but you'd still have to retune agree portion of the map becuase opening characteristics can vary a lot from one injector to another. Scaling req fuel is just supposed to get you in the ballpark and only if it was set up properly on the first go around.

i got it running, i wired in the EV14 connectors so going back to the RS2 injectors is a bit of a pain now.

i had 416cc injectors in it before and had the req fuel setup for those. than i did the math and changed the req fuel for the 1000cc injectors. i had to tweak around cold start. warm up, and cranking fuel mapping to get it going again. after that it did start and idle.

Re: upgrading injectors and VEMS
One thing you shouldn't forget is that 1000 cc injectors may actually flow anywhere from 800 cc to 1200 cc depending on who named them thanks to ID for screwing the naming convention up!

the paper work that came with the injectors said they where all tested at 43.5psi. 3 of them flowed 900cc and 2 of them flowed 905cc.
