Looks like it finally died!

The spam was too much. Motorgeek went from the biggest online classic specialized Audi community (save perhaps s2forum) to dead in what, 3 years? Sure, it started slowly, but over the last two months the spam basically put it out of its misery in an accelerated fashion.

It's literally a ghost town. Kinda sad actually that such a great community and resource is gone just like that. Sure it's still there, but I imagine it's only a matter of time before whoever the douchebag company is that took it over takes it down.

indeed, motorgeek was one for the biggest, but it didnt lose its traffic cos the spam.

mg has 2-3 moderators to delete the spam topics, but they would need a good admin to eliminate this bot invasion. They said its time consuming to update the forum to get better safety features.
(till that maybe a simple feature: new used can not make new topic till they introduce them-self in a specific topic.)

It makes me sad. My Audi obsession grew there and there was/is so much good content there. Will definitely be a loss for the old Audi community if it ever goes down completely.

I ran my script for you on it, be advised it moves stuff into "projects" so feel free to move it to the right spot (I think the post owner can do that, if I'm wrong that me know and I'll redirect it to the right place).

unfortunately attachments aren't handled, just image links.

haven't had time to make updates to the script to fix the little things like this.
