Temp sensor and ignition coil question

Hey guys,

So I fixed a problem with the coolant line from the turbo to water manifold on my 92 UrS4. Now my temp gauge isn't working. I have a feeling that the temp sensor for the gauge is the larger 4 pin one next to the after run temp sensor? I noticed that the connector was crumbling so I'm assuming working in there I finished the job of heat and time and destroyed it. Can someone please verify for me if that is the temp sensor for the gauge? Also, if anyone knows where I can get a good price on a new connector for it I would appreciate it.

Edit: The sensor (above) I'm referring to is the multi-function temp switch. I'm assuming that is to the temp gauge? Anyone know where to get a new connector for it?

Second, I've been wondering, what's the difference between the red and black 2.0T ignition coils? I'm planning on getting new coils and plugs to swap these out but I want to get the better of the 2 if they are swappable.
