20v.org offline again

It seems 20v.org has gone offline again, I did a quick search both here and that other place looking for the thread where somebody solved the problem last time.

Does anybody remember the thread and who solved the problem?

Wanted B3 Climate control breather vent

I’m looking for the a climate control breather vent from a B3 to use as amodel to 3d printer replacements,

Yeah I could drop the glove box and do a the contortionist thing that is required to remove the one that’s in my car, but that’s a pain.

Considering that it’s gonna be used as a model I’m not ...

Coupe Quattro fuel pump replacement

So the fuel pump in my CQ seems to be doing a death squeal, TBH I never listened for the fuel pump except when troubleshooting starting problems.
So far the problem has not progressed beyond making noise.

Before spending $300 on the drop in solution I’ve got to wonder if I can gather needed parts ...

CQ rear caliper rebuild kits - where to buy

I’ve acquired a pair of clean rear calipers from the left coast, but they need a rebuild.

My usual part supplier acquired kits that appear to have the correct seal and boot for the piston, but the internal seals are clearly not right.

Does anybody have a reliable source for kits that include the ...

Re: ‘90 CQ crappy on center feel

The issue turned out to be stupid simple.
The nuts on bracket that connects the tie rods together at the rack where loose.
Not sure how that happened as they where new nylock nuts last year.

Thighten the nuts and an alingment and all is well.

Re: ‘90 CQ crappy on center feel

Knowing my alignment guy it’s probably dead nuts on.
Seeing how the inner tie rods are the only things I did not replace I’m thinking I’ll replace them and revisit my alignment guys with a request in hand to set things the toe to the inside end of the spec.

Before I go looking for new inner ends ...

Re: ‘90 CQ crappy on center feel

Did you get the car re-aligned?

Yes, twice but that requires an explanation.
The first time was a place just a few miles from my house, they advertise that they touch Audi’s but I doubt they ever touched a CQ, it might have been aligned but it was not right.

The second alignment was done buy a ...

‘90 CQ crappy on center feel

Last time I drove my CQ I noticed what I’ll call crappy on center steering feel.

Also how well do these LEDs cooperate with the auto check build out warnings?

Why am I shredding 7a distributor gears?

Last year on my way home from Carlisle my car died on the road. I had it towed home and after too much time poking around I figured out that the distributor basic timing code was caused by a stripped distributor gear,
I replace the gesr with another bronze 034 gear and thought it was a fluke.
