Paint it whatever color you want, since it needs it anyway- I'll put in a vote for whiteThe US cars aren't much fun to drive stock anyway, so have a little fun with it! As far as mods there are huge number that qualify as improvements that happen to increase performance in one way or another, as I'm sure you're aware, and no one gets to flame you for it. Wiring is #1! Ditch the stock radiator(s) and no one gets to complain, until you do it'll run hot when run hard. The AC just hangs 100lbs on the nose, blocks airflow to the radiator, and sucks anyway. Put the stock headlamps in a box and store them away for the future. Be prepared to spend $$ for parts too- mine has averaged about $100 per startup since I got it in 99 :tard: That's why I have a 4kcsq to beat the crap out of, it drives about the same!
hey Tucker... this was my line of thought, and and i wouldn't have had too much problem with the Gobi until i remembered Zermatt....
zermatt is soo hawt. and the color is only paint. it can be removed and a different put in it's place.as to the regular issues with the car, as they break down i'll take care of them. if the hydraulic brake system craps out, i already plan to replace it with standard vacuum system. like i said though, i'll keep everything i take off. as to the wiring, i'm looking for a parts 4kq with a black interior to get carpet and dash from, and pilfer the entire harness and update that at the time of painting as i'll strip the car bare for it.
here's zermatt for those who've forgotten it
this is a 4kq i had in my possession the beginning of last year.
