Got the "borrowscope" from Javad on Friday :thanks:
finally got around to taking a peek inside my tranny tonight after watching the pats game. I should buy one of these things

I tried taking a picture through the viewfinder but it never really came out very well. But at least it shows my general approach

So here's the annoying part: I cant really see anything obvioiusly wrong. The throwout bearing sits where it is supposed to live, the clutch throwout arm is in position and on its ball mount... The onlything that looked a little strange is I THINK the gap between the plastic backing of the throwout bearing and the metal face is wider than a pic I found off the 034 motorsports website. That doesn't mean much though, could just be a depth perception issue... Also, I would expect there to be something causing the throwout to be CLOSER to the pressure plate in order to cause my specific issue: eg the arm from the clutch slave not being able to reach the actuation fork.
Haydn, you get your v8 flywheel and clutch gear yet? It'd be cool to assemble the stuff on the floor and take some measurements to perhaps make it a little clearer to me what went wrong
