I ripped out ABS on my coupe quattro and cut the wires and then realized that the rear diff wiring is within the ABS harness. If I install the v8 combo rear diff inside my coupe quattro diff I will not need the wiring and the vacuum setup anymore correct?
Finished rebuilding the driveshaft, put everything back together, and drove the car in all 7 gears with the car on jack stands to verify everything. so far, so good. Should be able to put the car on the ground tomorrow.. but..
I think I may need custom tie rods. Just eye-balling the wheels straight I'm out of adjustment range on the passenger side tie rod :(

Just FYI...on the Coupe...when front toe is '0' and you have -- camber your wheels will look like toe'd out....get it on the rack and have them check before you do anything...good luck!

Cool,
Time to call rod end supply and online metals to get the parts you need for some nice chromoly ones with spherical rod ends

H! Good to hear from you. Hope Australia is treating you well, I still haven't seen any pics of what you've been working on
I think I might give 034 a call, I know they make custom tie rod assemblies for a reasonable price so it would save me a bunch of time ordering the rod ends and making one myself. I'm thinking stock length - 3/8" should do.

heh, my car is not a good test mule, since I opted to cut the arms off the body. If I was to do the project over again (which, I wont ) I definitely would have made new engine arms to fit the stock locations.
